I would like to welcome author K.S. Haigwood, Abe Cambridge and Ariana Lochalan to On The Spot with DB Angel.

Let’s start with you Mrs. Haigwood, author of Eternal Island and many other great reads.

Abe Cambridge
Background: A place where vampires rule, witches play, danger lurks and dreams really do come true. Eternal Island is a paranormal suspense novel, deeply rooted into myth. Vampires and magic form a unique backdrop to a love story with long reaching consequences. Human girl Ariana Lochalan finds herself transported from the relative calm of her ‘Nowhere, Arkansas’ life into a diametrically opposite existence when she discovers she is a powerful witch and meant to wed High Vampire of Eternal Island, Abe Cambridge. Despite first-sight magnetism, the two protagonists are being pushed apart, obstacles tripping them at every step, outside forces interfering and threatening their peace, and ultimately their lives. A world rich in magic and intrigue, Eternal Island is the first installment of a saga which has love at its core and delves through the mire that is human nature in a turmoil of feeling and emotion. Would courage, resilience and love be enough to bring together two soul mates? How much would you sacrifice to save the one who owns your heart?
Ariana Lochalan
       1.       What inspired you to write this book? "To tell you the truth, I think Ariana did." Kristie takes Ariana's hand, squeezing it a little as she smiles.  "No, I am not crazy. Well, I'm no crazier than any other author is. Most writers believe the story chooses the writer, not the other way around. At least it is what I believe. I have a lot of characters demanding I give them their spotlight. A scene from the novel popped into my head one day, and it literally would not leave me alone until I sat down at the computer and typed it out. Before I could even finish writing that scene, the next scene slammed into me. It hasn't stopped since."
      2.       Are there any juicy tidbits you would like to share with our readers concerning Abe and Ariana? Kristie busts up laughing. "Well… um… it's a little secret they've only shared with the authors. There is one little thing they like doing when alone in their chambers… watching a DVD.”
      3.       Eternal Island is book one in a series. What was the hardest scene to write? "I would have to say, the scene where Michael left us for the second time was, emotionally, the toughest scene to write. It's difficult enough losing someone you love, but losing them twice is heart-wrenching. I bawled like a baby while writing that scene.
      4.       During the climax of the story, you put your characters through the wringer. Do you feel any guilt? "Guilt? Me? No. My characters should be the ones to feel guilty. They force me to put them through all of it. Eternal Island was actually mild on the torture-level scale compared to Eternal Immortality – Book 2 and what some of my other characters go through in the Save My Soul series.
      5.       How do you feel about your creator? God created me, just like he did everyone, but if you're referring to Kristie…" she giggles, "…Kristie didn't create me. I picked her…" she takes Abe's hand, and turns to give Kristie a beaming smile, "…to tell our story."
      6.       How did you meet your creator? "I dream-walked her and showed her my idea."
      7.       Do you have any aspirations that your creator doesn’t know about? Oh, wow! I'm sure I have tons of undiscovered abilities that I'm not even aware of yet, but we are all sort of learning about my powers as we go along. It's all exciting, but overwhelming at the same time. There isn't a whole lot Kristie doesn't know about me. She has a strong connection with each and every one of us.
      8.       Do you have any idea of why you hate surprises? "Hmm… It’s a long story. I’m sure Kristie will pull it out of me one day, and stick it in a book.”
      9.       You are planning to become Queen. That is a lot of responsibility. What will be your first course of action? “That’s easy. Making sure my subjects are happy people. I love helping others, even when my husband forgets that should be his top-most priority. We’ve had the odd disagreement over this already.”
      10.   Are you ready to give up McDonald’s and tan-lines? Ariana smiles. "Oh, I won't have to do without either of those. I'm not becoming a vampire—" Abe clears his throat. "It's still up for discussion." Ariana turns her head and rolls her eyes. "Was Doris talking to you?" He holds up his hands in defeat. "We'll discuss it later." Ariana smiled sweetly. "I'm sure we will, honey."
      11.   You are a natural pure witch. Is there an innate fear of going dark? Ariana frowns and looks at Kristie. "I hope not. I mean," she shrugs, "my gift came from Heaven. There’s no darkness in Heaven, right?” Abe inhales sharply as he sits up straight. "Wonderful. Something else to worry about." Ariana pats his knee. "You know there is no chance of me ever going dark." She looks back to Kristie who avoids eye contact. "Right, Kristie?" Silence filled the room.
12.  Right. Moving on. If you had to vote someone off the island, who would it be and why?"Jonah!" Abe answered immediately. Ariana laughs out loud "This isn't reality TV. We want more people to move to the island—" Abe interrupts again. "YOU want more people to move to the island. I, on the other hand, would be quite content with having the whole island to ourselves." He smiles, and pulls her to him for a lingering kiss.
13.   Abe? Who controls your life, you or your creator? Abe snorts as he laces his fingers together behind his head, and leans against the backrest of the sofa. "I am almost a thousand years old. Nobody controls me but me." He cuts his eyes nervously over to Ariana, and then to Kristie as both women cross their arms over their chests and raise questioning eyebrows. He huffs, and his face falls in defeat. "Fine. I'm a puppet. Whatever makes two of my favorite girls in my life happy. But, I like to think I have a tiny measure of control left… at least… can I pick what we watch tonight?" Laughter fills the room.
14.   Abe, you are King of Eternal Island. How do you feel about your creator selling you out? His mouth turns up on one side. "They didn't do anything I didn't agree to let them do. Kristie or Ella won't disclose our location. If you can’t trust your creator, whom can you trust?”
15.   How does it make you feel when people make bold proclamations that your species doesn’t exist? “I’d like to shake their hands. There’s always a spare room at the palace. Come on over. We could always use more meeker on the island.”
16.   Abe, how could you not know that Lidia was your child? Do you have any idea who Lidia's mother is? “Yes, but that is private. Too uncomfortable, too raw. That's something Ariana and I need to talk about in private before you tell the world about it." He clears his throat and fidgets uncomfortably. "Can we talk about something else?”
17.   What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done to anyone, and why?I’ve allowed myself to wallow in self-pity when I had no right to. If I could tell something to my young self, it would be ‘Grow up! You have a happy ending, too.'”.

Today, On the Spot with DB Angel has the pleasure of interviewing Mr. Chris Ringo aka Recognize Chris Ringo, author of the soon to be release Alphonse Illinois: Bounty Lines.

1. Please describe yourself in four words.
Recognize Chris Ringo. I am a simple man at heart with a complicated mindset. I do everything from the heart. My mind is the tool that propels my dedication to make a profound statement.

2. What is your favorite lick-able dessert?
My favorite lick-able dessert is… a woman. Her natural sweet juices encourage my search for more.

3. Concerning your career, where do you see yourself in five years.
In five years, you’ll see me off in the sunset. My season is now.

4. I’ve notice you have a unique style of writing, please explain?
I describe my unique style of writing as: Suggestive Vocabulary. Having a genuine love for words, I enjoy playing with them in order to provoke thoughts of readers; implying versus being blunt.

5. Your word play seduces the mind with tantalizing thoughts and imagery of intimate concupiscent. What inspires you to write in such a manner?
The woman. I view everything as a woman… literature, photography, etc. In my opinion, women are the greatest gift to man besides life itself. When I write, I travel the course of a woman’s body and give her my verbal usage as my genital organ. In this manner, I’m stimulating her mind and her body volunteers to get involved.

6. Erotica has been catching a lot opposition of late. Do you believe there is still a need for erotica? There is absolutely a need for good Erotica. Opposition comes because people still haven’t used sexuality in a context that results in everyone being comfortable in their skin. Reading Erotica remains a taboo. Yet, we have individuals professing their sexual preference. Erotica as a genre invokes a reaction most want to unveil in the privacy of self. Zane has been able to cross over into the mainstream scheme of things. However, the respect of craft is still seen as a forbidden fruit.

7. Is there a difference between erotica and porn? Some people can’t differentiate between the two.
Erotica deals with sensuality. Porn explores the uncut action.

8. Erotica is all about sexual fantasy. In what way do you find it appealing?
I find the entire fantasy ride to be pleasurable. When you’re able to take a situation and develop a strong sense of emotional journey, I believe you engage the mind to wonder. In this accomplishment, you can visit the interaction of characters like you’re a fly on the wall. Most often, you can take off your shoes and place your feet in those you’re reading.

9. Is there another genre you would like to dip your pen into?
I’m from Chicago, Illinois. Our flavor is a blend of all things, which makes our Midwest style a standalone taste. I translate this into my literary work. From my catalog of work, the mix achieves my goal of not being creatively boxed into a particular content.

10. I’m curious about your writing process. Is there a method to your daily grind?
My writing process involves getting into a zone by allowing the characters to converse in my head. I attentively listen as they direct where I pen the direction of a plot. As I sit at my laptop, it’s as if I’m a notes taker.

11. Which character would your most likely have a fling?
I’ve had a fling with all my female characters. Each has played a valuable role in dating my mental with exploring a written agenda.

12. Are there any characters or events in your books based off you and your life.
That’s the mystery of fiction. Where might personal events intertwine with embellishment? My answer will be… read in between the lines.

13. I heard through the grapevine that you are working on a new project called Alphonse, Illinois: Bounty Lines. Can you tell us about it?
I was challenged by a friend to use my talent as a writer to take readers to a place. Being a Libra, I enjoy challenge. My love for literature maintains I devote my work to her craft. Alphonse, Illinois is the combination of my middle name with the state of my birth. In this setting, I’m able to transition the reader from Alphonse’s unsettled land and create a history behind its civilization. The personalities that make Alphonse, Illinois a place you want to be will be the prize apple of my eye.

14. What inspired you to write this book of blended genre?
The inspiration stems from my upbringing in Chicago, Illinois. The tradition from which I was exposed to has become somewhat of an endangered species. My grandfather loved western movies. My father developed this fondness for shoot ‘em bang, bang as well. I tap into this genre with Alphonse’s early development. Recalling good music, family gatherings and the hangouts of my predecessors, I give you a glance into soul singing and poetry in the second installment of Alphonse, Illinois. Chicago has a concrete jungle environment within its opportunity to become whatever or whomever you strive to ascertain. Rather than divulge in the street vantage point of storytelling, I present another angle of survival of the fittest. Corporate America is filled with gangsters, money, sex and deadly consequences. The third installment of Alphonse, Illinois proves a hustler/business person is as good as their flow of word.

15. Which character dominated your mind and why?
Stephen Styles. He was the first born of my writing career.

16. I’ve been noticing the Ringo Starr a lot lately. Assuming it is your logo and extension of you, what does it mean?
With my last name being Ringo, people always joked as well as associated it with the Beatles’ Ringo Starr. Quite naturally, I took the perception and adopted it as my signature.

17. What do you do besides write?
Writing introduced me to another love of my life: photography. As with literature, I explore the sensual side of a woman’s beauty. I detest mainstream’s popular opinion that thin defines beauty. Moreover, my camera eye delights in capturing the allure of curves. Women should not be ashamed of their shape, complexion or femininity. Image is everything. Confidence is her skin is an art form I tastefully encourage from photo sessions.

18. So, you are into graphic design and photography, interesting. Do you design your own book covers?
I design my own book covers. It is how my photography love bug had bitten my ass.

19. I believe a book cover plays an important role in readers purchase decisions. What’s your opinion on the power of a book cover?
A book cover is the first impression. From its detail, attraction and attention is captivated. As with my stories, I aspire to award the readers with my vision of artistic freedom.

20. How can our reader learn more about you and your books?
I stepped into the literary arena November of 2007. First and foremost, I consider myself a student of literature. The years have taught me patience’s reward. Quality reads will characterize my longevity in literature as a career. I’m currently sculpting a catalog of novels to publish. It’s my dream to have them available out the gate together. For now, you can follow my path on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Recognize-Chris-Ringo-the-Author/579699075427142  and Instagram: ig: recognize chris ringo

21. Before we close, are there anything you want our readers to know, and can you pen my autograph book?
Readers should know my passion for literature and the value I have for your comprehension will always pump my heart and direct my pen. Again, my signature style is suggestive vocabulary. No matter what I compose, the underlining statement travels the extremities of your bodily function to wet panties. I seek to have your intellect masturbate on the g-strings of my well-endowed masterpiece. I plan to tour state to state in order to meet and greet those who value good reading.
I count it an honor to autograph your book. Hmmmmmmm……… such a novel idea.

The swagger is strong in this one readers. Read you later!
